Woman kidnapped at Asifnagar

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: Four Toyota Qualis-borne persons kidnapped a woman in her early 20s at Asifnagar on Thursday night, the Asifnagar police said.

The kidnap came to light when Shiva Kumar, an autorickshaw driver in whose vehicle the woman travelled, approached the police. According to him, a young man boarded his vehicle at Erragadda and stopped by roadside near Kukatpally BJP office. He rang up someone from his mobile phone. A few minutes later, the woman came to the spot and both of them got into the vehicle.

At the unidentified man’s instance, Kumar drove them to Asifnagar.

Meanwhile, four persons came in the Qualis and threatened to kill the young man if he did no flee the place.

Afterwards, they forcibly took away the woman along with them. Kumar noted down the registration number of the four-wheeler but verifications by the police revealed it belonged to a motorcycle.
