Woman succumbs to her injuries

NEW DELHI: A 24-year-old woman who allegedly attempted suicide at her Ambedkar Nagar residence here on July 29 died at the AIIMS on Friday. In a “suicide note” she had purportedly stated that was taking the extreme step as her marriage had got cancelled.

Vandana was engaged to Naresh and was about to get married in February but the marriage was cancelled allegedly because the groom’s side was demanding dowry. Vandana purportedly went into depression and tried to end her life on July 29. She was rushed to AIIMS where she succumbed to her injuries on Friday.
