Supplyco to tie up with ration shops

Staff Reporter

Kozhikode: Minister for Food and Civil Supplies C. Divakaran has said that the Left Democratic Front Government will initiate steps to counter marketing strategies of retail giants.

At a news conference here on Saturday, he said the Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation (Supplyco) would tie up with ration shops and wholesale depots to sell products at reasonable prices.

As a first step in this direction, Mr. Divakaran said, a metro Onam people’s bazaar will be opened in the city on Sunday. He said such bazaars would be opened in all districts.
