Police regulatory orders for August 15

PUDUCHERRY: On account of Independence Day on August 15, Superintendent of Police (North) V. Vijayakumar has said that regulatory orders will be imposed under Section 30 (2) of the Police Act in Grand Bazaar, Muthialpet, Lawspet, Kalapet, Orleanpet and Odiansalai police stations for a period of 15 days till August 18.

An official release said that there was likelihood of breach of peace in the area, and so bandhs, demonstrations and picketing of roads have been banned for the period. — Staff Reporter
