Container lorry holds up traffic

VILLUPURAM: A container lorry that developed a snag held up traffic on the Chennai-Tiruchi highways for about four hours on Saturday. Owing to engine problem, the lorry proceeding from Chennai to Tuticorin halted at the Ulundurpet railway gate. Vehicles lined up on either side of the gate for several km. Therefore, the traffic was diverted through Madapattu, Periasevalai and Kalamarudhur. Later, with great difficulty and public support, the lorry was pushed to the roadside.
