Community service orders for more bikers

NEW DELHI: A day after 15 motorcyclists, allegedly assaulted mediapersons while riding dangerously were granted bail on condition that they would do community service for a month, another city court on Saturday granted bail to 12 more of them on the same condition. In all, 45 youngsters had been arrested when found allegedly indulging in dangerous stunts across Connaught Place here in the early hours of July 22.
Granting bail to the 12 accused, Metropolitan Magistrate Sudesh Kumar said each applicant would put in community service at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib or any other place of worship of their choice for seven hours a week. The Magistrate askedthem to listen to sermons from the head granthi of the gurdwara for two hours a week, as it would help them in imbibing discipline and teach them to respect the law of the land.
