Elections to 43 more civic bodies

BANGALORE: The State Election Commission has issued a notification to hold elections to 43 more urban civic bodies on August 30. It has already issued a notification to hold elections to 163 civic bodies.
In a press release here on Friday, it said that elections would be held to Belgaum, Bellary, Mangalore, Hubli-Dharwad, Davangere, Gulbarga and Mysore city corporations; Jamakhandi, Gokak, Hospet, Bidar, Gadag-Betageri, Hassan, Kolar, Chickballapur, Koppal, Raichur, Sindhanur, Shimoga, Bhadravathi, Udupi, Karwar and Sirsi CMCs; Sankeshwar, Kadur, Birur, Tarikere, Hiriyur, Puttur, Annigeri, Navalgund, Mundaragi, Ron, Sedam, Shorapur, Sakaleshpura, Holenarasipura, Belur, Maddur and K.R. Nagar TMCs; and Khanapur, Holalkere and Alur town panchayats.
