Rajah Sir Muthiah Chettiar award for Tamil scholar

CHENNAI: The Rajah Sir Annamalai Chettiar Memorial Trust will honour Tamil scholar R. Selvaganapathy with Rajah Sir Muthiah Chettiar Birthday Commemoration Award on August 5 for his contribution towards the development of Tamil language. The award, carrying a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, will be presented by Ethiraj College chairman and former Madras High Court judge S. Jagadeesan during the 103rd birth anniversary celebration of Rajah Sir Muthiah Chettiar at Rani Seethai Hall, Anna Salai.

The Trust’s secretary A.R. Ramaswamy said Mr. Selvaganapathy was the 20th recipient of the award.
