JAIPUR: Rajasthan Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Minister Kalulal Gujjar has reiterated the State Government’s resolve to provide nutritious food to all students under the midday meal scheme, saying that Rs.550 crore was being spent annually for the purpose. 75-lakh students benefiting
Addressing a series of public meetings in Gurla village panchayat area of Bhilwara district over the weekend, Mr. Gujjar said that about 75-lakh students were benefiting from the midday scheme, while textbooks worth Rs.126 crore were being provided free of cost to the students. Aim for full literacy
Mr. Gujjar said the State Government aimed at achieving full literacy by ensuring that every child goes to school. “Education is the key to integrated development and has the capacity to evolve responsible citizens of tomorrow,” he said. The Minister also said the public hearings being held at the district and sub-divisional headquarters had emerged as a significant instrument for resolving grievances and providing succour to people.
