Tyagi progresses

NEW DELHI: Sidhant Tyagi of Hans Raj School fought his way past Chaitanya Bhardwaj 9-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-7, 11-7 in the second round of the cadet boys’ section in the 15th St. Columba’s Open table tennis tournament at the school premises here on Saturday.

The results: U-8: Quarterfinals: Ridhi Sethi bt Angad Singh 11-9, 8-11, 12-10, 6-11, 11-9; Vanshaj Kwatra bt Shivam Gupta 11-6, 6-11, 11-13, 11-9, 11-3.

Cadet boys (second round): Jai Mehlawat bt Sidhant Kohli 8-11, 9-11, 11-9, 11-8, 11-6; Sidhant Tyagi bt Chaitanya Bhardwaj 9-11, 9-11, 11-8, 11-7, 11-7; Saksham Tyagi bt Vaibhav Magoo 11-3, 11-6, 11-5; Saransh Bajaj bt Rishab Sharma 12 -10, 11-9, 7-11, 11-8.
