RAMANATHAPURAM: Mechanised boats fishermen of Rameswaram started an indefinite strike on Saturday demanding the withdrawal of the ban on catching sea cucumber. They did not receive tokens for venturing into the sea. Meanwhile, a section of fishermen owing allegiance to the CPI(M) staged a demonstration at Periapattinam, near here, to press the same demand.
