YOUNG DREAMS: Surya Teja, the 14-year-old choreographer.
HYDERABAD: He is all of 14 years old and after winning several dance competitions he is now gearing up for another contest being conducted by a television channel. As part of the contest, Surya Teja Subranth, a 10th standard student of KIMS High School was selected to choreograph the actress, Gita Singh of ‘Kita Kitalu’ fame. Excited. Surya Teja hopes that he will make it to the final round of the show. Both his parents, Suryanarayana and Surya Sudha were supportive of his passion for dance since he was a two-year-old. “Do anything, but excel in whatever you do. This is what my father told me and I’ve been striving towards becoming a good dancer and a choreographer”, says Surya Teja. “We are really very proud of him. I hope that he becomes the best dancer in the industry, next to Prabhu Deva ofcourse,” says Mr. Suryanarayana, a doting father and a lecturer. Dance competition
Surya Teja has competed in 990 dance competitions till date and hopes that he would touch the 1000th mark soon. He also won ‘Boogie- Woogie’, a famous national dance competition and was felicitated by ex Chief Minister Mr. Chandrababu Naidu. The 14 year old is planning to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records by dancing for 24 hours without a break.
