CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Government on Saturday promoted four Deputy Inspectors-General (DIG) and posted one of them as Commissioner of Police, Madurai. A couple of Inspectors-General (IG) were also shuffled in the latest postings.
On promotion as IG, K. Nandabalan, hitherto DIG, Dindigul range, has been posted as the new Commissioner, Madurai city.
A. Kalimulla Khan, DIG, Madurai range, has been promoted as IG and posted as Chief Vigilance Officer, STC, Salem. Sunil Kumar Singh, DIG, Armed Police, Tiruchirappalli, has been promoted as IG in the same unit. A. Alexander Mohan, hitherto DIG, Salem range, has been promoted as and posted as IG, STF, Chennai.
Asutosh Shukla, Member-Secretary, TNUSRB, and N. Tamilselvan, IG, Operations, swap places. Mithilesh Kumar Jha, IG, on repatriation from Government of India, posted as IG, EOW, CCIW CID and Idol Wing CID, Chennai.
