DAVANGERE: The Davangere district unit of the Congress has invited applications from aspirants to contest the Davangere City Corporation and municipal elections of Harihar, Honnali, Chennagiri, Harpanahalli and Jagalur.

A press release said that the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee had despatched applications to all the block Congress offices and aspirants could get the application forms from the president of the Block unit concerned and submit them by August 12.

Candidates aspiring to contest the Davangere City Corporation should enclose a demand draft for Rs. 1,000 drawn in favour of the president of the KPCC, and submit it with the application form to the block unit presidents, the press release added.
