BC students plea

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh BC Students Association on Sunday held a protest demonstration near Indira Park demanding a hike in mess charges given to SC/ST/BC hostels. Allowance for students from third to seventh standard should be increased from Rs.338 to Rs.600 each and for those from eighth to tenth should be increased from Rs.412 to Rs.750 each, the association demanded. They also asked for an increase in the mess charges of college hostels, cosmetic charges and allowance for clothing. –Staff Reporter
