Entrance test in Kerala goes off smoothly
Staff Reporter
KOCHI: The entrance examination conducted by the Private Medical Colleges Association for admission to the MBBS course in four colleges went off peacefully on Sunday. A heavy posse of police was deployed at the venues.
Activists of the Students’ Federation of India and the All-India Youth Federation held marches in the city away from the venues, as the elaborate security arrangements acted as a deterrent to the student unions which had allegedly stopped the conduct of the examination on June 23 through violence.
It is learnt that not even 1,500 of the 3,116 students registered for examination appeared for the examination.
