Weekend bash again turns fatal for 4

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: A weekend bash once again turned fatal with the death of four persons, including two South African nationals, in a road accident at Gundla Pochampally village on the city suburbs early on Sunday. Two others also suffered grievous injuries. This is the second such accident that occurred within a week.

The six persons were going towards Medchal in their car after having dinner at Runway-9 in Kompally. As soon as they reached Gundla Pochampally, the car collided with a stationary lorry resulting in the death of South Africans - Guniue Buhle Bezee (25) and Thabanj Jacob (25) – along with V. V. Narasimha Reddy (25) of V. N. Nagar in Secunderabad and J. Narsing Rao (27) of Old Alwal.

Bezee, Jacob and Narasimha died on the spot, while Rao succumbed to injuries at a corporate hospital in Jubilee Hills. The condition of the injured persons Susheel Bagwe (27) of Mumbai and Mokoenaeric Testo (25) from South Africa, was serious.

Medchal Inspector Syed Rafeeq said the South Africans were undergoing software training at Satyam Computers since May 30 this year. They were residing at the office-cum-hostel located at Bahadurpally. “We are yet to establish the foreigners’ association with Narasimha and Rao,” he said. The duo was working as car dealers.

Based on vehicle’s documents found in the lorry, the driver has been identified as Narayan Singh from Uttar Pradesh. The stationary lorry was proceeding towards Nagpur when the accident occurred. “The Union Ministry of External Affairs has been informed about the mishap and for sending bodies to South Africa. Satyam Computers’ management too is coordinating with us,” he explained. The bodies were preserved at the mortuary in NIMS. Last week, an engineering student, Sameera, was killed when the car she was travelling in with her friends crashed into a tree at Narsingi. They were returning from a party from a private resort.
