New panels sought

The Commonwealth Advocates’ Association of India has urged the State Government to appoint district-level committees headed by the Collectors to find amicable solution to the frequent confrontation between lawyers and policemen.

In a press release issued here on Saturday, the association blamed the Government of being a “mute spectator” to the growing rift between advocates and the police.
