Machilipatnam: The State Government would fill vacant posts in all government hospitals in the State by the end of September, according to A.P. Vaidya Vidhana Parishad Minister V. Venkateswara Rao. Stone laid
Mr. Rao laid a foundation stone to Comprehensive Emergency Maternity and Neonatal medical services unit at Vaidya Vidhana Parishad hospital at Avanigadda near here on Sunday. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, he said 534 special doctor and 138 dental doctor posts would be filled on top priority basis. The other medical and health posts like 330 staff nurses would be filled by the end of September, he said. Later, he visited some wards in the Government General Hospital here. He suggested the hospital superintendent to send proposals to take up repair works, which should be taken up immediately. When doctors, who were working on contract, brought to the notice of the Minister that their services could be regularised based on GO. 217, he assured them that he would look into it.He also promised that the possibility regularising the services of existing paramedical staff, and recruiting additional paramedical staff in the government hospitals. He promised to sanction a blood bank in Nuzvid, after MLA Earlier, Nuzvid MLA M Pratap Appa Rao asked about it.
