‘Chalo Delhi’ rally on August 19

HYDERABAD: The Andhra Pradesh State Backward Classes Welfare Association will organise a demonstration in front of Parliament on August 19 as part of ‘Chalo Delhi’ rally and also staged dharnas before the houses of State ministers demanding 50 per cent reservations in promotions.

R. Krishnaiah, president, announced the schedule of the week-long programme in a statement here on Sunday.

He said members of the association would also stage a demonstration before Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s residence and participate in conventions to be attended by Union ministers.
