MYSORE: The Jayalakshmipuram police have arrested two persons on charges of selling LPG cylinders illegally and recovered 27 stolen cylinders and two motorcycles from them. The arrested are Saleem and Sikhandar, both residents of Gousia Nagar. The police arrested them when they were found transporting gas cylinders on two-wheelers in Gokulam here. After interrogation, they disclosed that they had committed thefts in the police station limits of Mandi Mohalla, Vijayanagar and Jayalakshmipuram. Killed in accident
A pillion rider died when the motorcycle, his friend was riding hit a tree on Saturday night near Dasappa Circle near Railway Station. The victim has been identified as Manjunath, an engineer. According to reports, Kumar, who was riding the motorcycle, lost control of the vehicle and hit the tree around 11 p.m. Nagaraj, who was also riding pillion and Mr. Kumar escaped with minor injuries. Manjunath, who sustained serious injuries, died at K R Hospital. The Devaraja police have registered a case.
