COIMBATORE: The Department of School Education will conduct School Improvement Conference on August 7 at the Government Higher Secondary School, Ganapathy.

Minister for School Education Thangam Thennarasu will inaugurate the conference. Rural Industries Minister Pongalur N. Palanisamy, Mayor R. Venkatachalam, District Collector Neeraj Mittal and Director of Elementary Education J. Uma Maheswari will participate.

The conference will discuss the improvement of infrastructural facilities in the Government, Municipal, Corporation and aided schools with the help of non-Governmental organisations and private concerns. It will also discuss the filling up of teachers’ vacancies.
