Pipe bomb seized

RAMANATHAPURAM: The police on Sunday seized a country made pipe bomb and arrested two persons for illegally possessing explosives.

Sources said a group of persons were fighting with Santhanam (49) husband of 7th ward councillor Selvi of DMK at Vandikara Street. The police seized a bomb from them on that spot . Kottai (33) and Sivakumar (30) of R.S. Madai were arrested.

The Superintendent of Police, R. Thirugnanam said that enquiry was on to find out the origin of the bomb.
