T.N. told not to neglect Kannadigas

Correspondent

CHAMARAJANAGAR: President of Kannada Chaluvali Vatal Paksha and Chamarajanagar MLA, Vatal Nagaraj, has warned of an agitation if the Tamil Nadu Government neglected the welfare of Talavadi Kannadigas and the Kannada language.

He was speaking after inaugurating the Gadinada Kannada Yuvakara SHG at Bisalavadi village in Chamarajanagar taluk on Sunday.

The Government of Tamil Nadu should take steps to ensure supply of Kannada textbooks to students at Talavadi, which is a border village.

He alleged that the Tamil Nadu Government was neglecting Talavadi because of the large number of Kannadigas there.

He urged the Karnataka Government to provide jobs to students of Talavadi. He accused the Government of ignoring the Sarojini Mahishi report and the one he submitted on development of border areas.

He said his party would launch an agitation in November seeking implementation of the various reports.
