Man knocked down by local train

A 35-year-old man Nageswara Rao, who came to Macha Bollaram for celebrating Bonalu festival in his relative’s house, was killed after he was hit by a local train while walking across the local railway track on Sunday. The victim was a resident of RTC crossroads area.

Techie killed in wall collapse

A software engineer Suneel, 35, was killed when the wall of an old building collapsed on him while he was standing along the road near Yatri Nivas of Secunderabad to catch a bus on Sunday night. His friend Vijay Gautham, who was standing beside him, escaped with minor injuries.

A resident of Bangalore, the victim came to the city two days ago. Accompanied by Gautham, he came to Yatri Nivas to catch a Bangalore-bound bus. They were standing along an old building, most of which had already been demolished by the civic authorities as part of road widening work. Due to continuous rain for the past few days, water seeped through the building’s remaining wall resulting in its collapse, the Ramgopalpet police said.

Cook killed in accident

A pedestrian, K.T. Kondaiah, 48, was killed when an oncoming motorcycle knocked him down near Annanagar of Lothkunta on Sunday night. The victim was a cook. He was rushed to a private hospital where he died after a couple of hours while undergoing treatment.
