Car accident victims buried

KASARAGOD: The bodies of three members of a family who died in a car accident at Panchakkal near Adhoor in the district were buried on Wednesday.
The deceased, all natives of Adhoor, were identified by the police as Nafeesa Hajjumma, 79, her daughter Beefathima, 62, and Beefathima’s grand-daughter Shymath, 4. They were killed when their car turned upside down after hitting a culvert at Panchakkal on Tuesday night. They were returning from Sullya in Karnataka to Adhoor after the marriage of Beefathima’s son Abdul Salam. Mr. Salam was driving the car.
Mr. Salam and his bride Tahira, who were injured in the accident, were admitted to a private hospital in Mangalore.
