Insurance staff back CITU strike

HYDERABAD: The South Central Zone Insurance Employees’ Federation, Insurance Corporation Employees’ Union and Hyderabad Region General Insurance Employees’ Association on Tuesday have announced support to the strike called by CITU on August 8. Leaders of the organisations in separate statements here pressed for a comprehensive legislation on welfare of the unorganised workers, one of the main demands of the strikers. Other demands include payment of minimum wages and equal wages for women. –Special Correspondent
