Power thief jailed

NEW DELHI: A special court dealing with electricity-related cases at Wazirpur here has sentenced a power thief to three years’ rigorous imprisonment.

Sandeep Dabas, a resident of Kanjhawala in North Delhi, was booked for direct theft of 45.34 kW of electricity by NDPL during an inspection in 2004. He was illegally drawing electricity for running a rubber cutting and grinding plant on Kanjhawala Road.
