DEHRA DUN: The Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri, filed his nomination papers on Tuesday for the Dhumakot Assembly by-election. He is required to fulfil the Constitutional requirement of becoming a member of the Assembly to continue as Chief Minister on or before September 8. He was accompanied by the party in-charge of Uttarakhand Anil Jain, State BJP president Bhagat Singh Koshiary, many Cabinet colleagues, Lt. Gen. (Retd) T.P.S. Rawat, the former Congress leader who vacated the Dhumakot seat for him, and several leaders of his coalition partner Uttarakhand Kranti Dal.
