CITU plans protest programmes

Tirupati: In response to a call given by the CITU for a nation wide protest against the UPA Government’s continued apathy towards the unorganised sector, demonstrations will be held through out the State on August 8. The CITU will lay siege to collectorates and the offices of MROs in the State. According to the Chittoor district secretary of the CITU, R. Harikrishna, important among their demands is constitution of a high-power committee to study the situation in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu and Kerala for suitable replication in the State.
