Misplaced support

The proposed signature campaign by Bollywood in support of Sanjay smacks of irresponsibility. The actor was given a fair trial, represented by highly paid legal brains, and has the option of appealing in the apex court. There is nothing wrong in standing by the star in his moment of crisis but to launch a campaign for him is outrageous.

Sannapareddy Krishna Reddy,
Nellore

Sanjay should actually feel happy that he has not been convicted under TADA. Yet politicians are extending sympathy to him. Even the honourable judge had a word of comfort for him. But why is nobody showing the same sympathy for others sentenced in the serial blasts case? Is it because they are common men having no right to sympathy? Or because they are vote banks and nothing else?

Md. Parwez Alam,
New Delhi
