Assailants throw acid and torch woman
Sangareddy: Two unidentified persons threw acid on a woman and torched her in Medak town on Tuesday morning. According to the police 42years old Lakshmi took huge sums of loans for treatment of her ailing husband. Recently the private moneylenders threatened her with dire consequences. -Staff Reporter
Student succumbs to self-immolation bid
Sangareddy: The student of Vijwala Junior College of Siddipet who was badly burnt in a self-immolation bid succumbed to the injuries today in Gandhi hospital. A. Sushmitha, a second year intermediate student, tried to commit suicide following a disciplinary action taken by one of the college lecturer three days ago. -Staff Reporter
Petrol pumps sealed
NIZAMABAD: The Civil Supplies authorities sealed two petrol dispensing pumps at Bharat Petroleum outlet on the Godown Road following a complaint by a customer that petrol coming from one of the pumps was found to be discoloured, here on Tuesday evening.The samples would be examined by the mobile laboratory at Nirmal.-Staff Reporter
