Road rage killing accused held
NEW DELHI: A young motorcyclist who allegedly beat up a 28-year-old pedestrian to death in Dilshad Garden here on Monday has been arrested by the North-East Delhi police.
Narender was arrested at his Tahirpur residence on Tuesday morning. According to the police, he allegedly hit a local resident, Arvind, on the head with a brick leading to his death. Narender earlier worked for a computer spare parts shop and is now unemployed.
The incident took place around 3-30 p.m. on Monday when Arvind was talking on his mobile phone. Narender honked, but Arvind apparently did not hear and kept walking on the road. An angry Narender then got into a fight with him. He picked up a brick and allegedly hit Arvind on the head.
A profusely bleeding Arvind was rushed to GTB Hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
