Mother and daughter commit suicide
Forty-year-old P. Anjamma committed suicide by setting herself ablaze at her house at Kacheguda on Monday night after her daughter Surekha admonished her for consuming liquor. Later, Surekha (20) ended her life by dousing herself with kerosene and set self afire. Anjamma was working as a sweeper with Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, the police said.
Girl falls in boiling water, dies
A three-year-old baby girl who suffered serious burns after a utensil containing hot water fell on her at her residence at Shamirpet on Saturday, died while undergoing treatment at Gandhi hospital on Monday. The police said Asiya Sonali was playing when the incident happened.
Jobless youth ends life
An unemployed youth committed suicide by consuming poison at Secretariat in Saifabad on Tuesday. M. Suman (20), a resident of Gandhinagar, took the drastic step after his parents reportedly reprimanded him for not securing a job, according to the police.
