Isolated rain likely in T.N.
CHENNAI: Southwest monsoon has been active over Telangana, coastal and south interior Karnataka. Rainfall occurred at most places over Telangana, Kerala and coastal Karnataka, at many places over interior Karnataka and at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, Rayalaseema and Lakshadweep. Humchadakatte (Shimoga dt) recorded extremely heavy rainfall of 27 centimetres. The following stations recorded very heavy to heavy rainfall in centimetres: Kottigehara (Chickmagalur dt) 21, Kollur (Udupi dt) 18, Sirsi (Uttara Kannada dt) and Sorab (Shimoga dt) 14 each, Banavasi (Uttara Kannada dt) and Kundapur (Udupi dt) 13 each, Puttur and Subramanya (both Dakshina Kannada dt) 11 each, Mani (Dakshina Kannada dt) and Anavathi (Shimoga dt) 10 each. Forecast (Valid until Thursday Morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over Karnataka, Kerala and Telangana and at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep. Outlook for Subsequent Two Days: No large change.
