Contributions to relief fund

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister for Cooperation G. Sudhakaran presented Rs.6.08 lakh to Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan as contribution to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund on Wednesday.

The amount was collected as contribution from the State and district cooperative banks and the office staff of the Minister.

The Minister contributed Rs.17,000, his salary for a month.

Forest Minister Benoy Viswom handed over the contribution of the Periyar Foundation to the relief fund. — Special Correspondent
