Chandigarh: Elections to four civic bodies in Punjab were by and large peaceful on Wednesday barring stray clashes between supporters of opposition Congress and ruling SAD-BJP alliance which left 15 people injured. Main opposition Congress, which holds majority in the four Municipal Corporations of the State, accused the ruling SAD-BJP of booth capturing, rigging and obstructing its supporters from exercising their franchise, a charge vehemently denied by the State Government. Congress candidates boycotted polling at Patiala and Amritsar. -- PTI
