Naveen makes semifinals

Sivakasi: Top-seeded M. Naveen of Cuddalore entered the boys’ under-13 singles semifinals defeating R.N. Harshan of Coimbatore 21-8, 21-11 in the Tamil Nadu State sub-junior badminton championships organised by Virudhunagar District Badminton Association here on Wednesday.

Boys: u-13 singles: M. Naveen bt R.N. Harshan 21-8, 21-11; Karanrajan bt Vineeth Madhavan 18-21, 21-16, 21-17; Poun Sarath bt K. Inneyarajan 21-13, 21-18; Vishal Upendra bt H. Mithilesh 21-18; 13-21; 21-17.

Host Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engineering, Krishnankovil beat Pon Jesly Engineering College, Nagercoil by eight wickets in the Anna University zone X inter-engineering college cricket tournament at Krishnankovil near Srivilliputhur on Wednesday.
