Helping students handle stress School notes

Creating awareness: Students at Mind Vision 2007 organised at the Delhi Public School (North), Yelahanka.

BANGALORE: Delhi Public School (North), Yelahanka, organised Mind Vision 2007, a mental health and life skills workshop recently. Jitendra Nagpal, senior consultant and psychiatrist of VIMHANS, New Delhi, chaired the workshop held under the aegis of The Delhi Public School Society. Clinical psychologist Divya Prasad was the coordinator.

In her inaugural address, principal Sneh Preet Sial stressed the importance of focussing on mental health to understand the impressionable age of adolescence.

Over 50 students from nine DPS schools from all over the country attended the camp. At the valedictory function, the students vowed to disseminate their learning to their peers in their respective schools.

Visit to Assembly

It was a memorable visit to the “seat of power” for students of Auden High School, Banashankari, when they visited the Vidhana Soudha recently and went around the corridors of the majestic edifice. They witnessed the proceedings of the Legislative Assembly . After the students returned to school, they were imitating the politicians.

Rajya Puraskar

Amrutha. V., and Manoop. K., students of Sri Vani High School, Basaveshwaranagar, brought laurels to the institution. They were the proud recipients of the “Rajya Puraskar Award” instituted by the Scouts and Guides, Karnataka. Amrutha and Manoop received the award from Governor T. N. Chaturvedi at the Rajya Puraskar Rally held recently.
