Boy injured in accident

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: A 16-year-old boy was injured after he was hit by a Blueline bus while getting off another bus at Sarita Vihar here on Wednesday. Drivers of both the vehicles are absconding.

Around 7-30 a.m. Rohit, a Class IX student, was getting off the bus plying on route 405 -- from Badarpur to the Old Delhi railway station -- when another Blueline hit him before coming to a halt. Rohit sustained injuries in the waist and other parts of the body and was taken to Apollo Hospital.

The driver of the bus plying on route 405 vanished from the scene after abandoning the vehicle, while the other drove off with the bus.

The police have registered a case of causing hurt due to rash and negligent driving and have launched a hunt for both the drivers.
