Officials should act tough

I appreciate the issues highlighted in the feature on cinema halls in Vijayawada on August 2. As a regular viewer of films in the past and occasional viewer now, I can see a marked difference in the facilities offered to patrons.

Viewers now face several problems due to poor maintenance of halls. Non-functioning of AC, collection of exorbitant fee for parking of vehicles, charging high rates on food items at the canteen are only a few of the many issues on which the officials should act.

Abnormal increase in ticket rates during the first two weeks of release of a new movie is unfair and must not be allowed.
