Kannagi temple to be built

PUDUKOTTAI: The Silappathikara Aanmiga Peravai here has decided to construct a temple for Kannagi here on the lines of the Kannagi Temple situated on the Tamil Nadu-Kerala border.

This was decided at a meeting of the peravai here recently. The meeting also decided to hold elocution and essay writing contests on ‘the Silappathikaram.’

The State convener of the peravai, Sowmya Narayanan Swamigal, presided over the meeting, and the State joint convener, S. Palaniappan, and others spoke.
