NEW DELHI: India suffered a shock 1-3 loss at the hands of the Philippines but still managed to lead the field by a point after seven rounds of the World Youth (under-16) Chess Olympiad in Singapore on Wednesday. With three rounds to go, second seed India heads the table with 20 points, one better than the Philippines, seeded 22 in the 28-team field. After Thursday’s rest day, India plays Australia I.
