Three arrested

ATTUR: The police arrested three persons on charges of cheating a few villagers in Ethapur near here recently.

The police said a group of persons reportedly collected money from the villagers for enrolling them as members in a multi-level marketing business. Subsequently, the persons reportedly failed to provide the members with products. Based on a complaint, the police arrested Raja (34) of Attur, Ramesh (36) of Jagir Ammapalayam and Shanmugam (42) of Rasipuram. Further investigation is on.
