Action sought against Collectors

Staff Reporter

ADILABAD: The Andhra Pradesh Revenue Services Association (APRSA) on Thursday demanded action against those District Collectors and Joint Collectors who ignored writing the annual confidential reports of employees of the rank of Deputy Tahsildars and above. APRSA State president N. Anand Rao contended that many top officials ignored their duty of writing the ACR which was hampering chances of promotion of concerned employees.

At a press conference here that he held along with Adilabad district president G. Shiva Kumar and others, Mr. Anand Rao demanded the Government either to increase the funds given to Tahsildars for protocol duties or exempt the officials from such duties.

Meagre sanctions

He pointed out that the money sanctioned was meagre and insufficient for meeting protocol expenditure.

Other demands that were made included posting of sufficient staff for duties given under the Right to Information Act.
