Muzaffarnagar: Police in western Uttar Pradesh, especially in Muzaffarnagar and Meerut districts, have been put on high alert in view of the movement of Kanwarias and Friday prayers of Muslims on August 10, an official said. Moreover, security has also been enhanced on the Delhi-Hardwar highway, following an alert by the intelligence sources, S.P. (Intelligence) V.K. Goutam told mediapersons here on Thursday.
