Bypolls to local bodies

Thiruvananthapuram: The by-elections to 21 local body wards in the state will be held on September 12.

The State Election Commissioner, P.Kamalkutty, said here today that the notification would be issued on August 13 and the nominations accepted till August 20. Their scrutiny would take place on September 21. The nominations could be withdrawn till August 23. The counting will take place on September 13. The candidates should submit their accounts by October 11. — Special Correspondent
