DCW chairperson calls on President

NEW DELHI: Delhi Commission for Women chairperson Barkha Singh called on President Pratibha Patil at Rashtrapati Bhavan here on Tuesday.

A six-member delegation led by Ms. Singh apprised the President of various programmes, initiatives and activities being undertaken by the Commission. Ms. Patil was also told about the Commission’s proposal to open crèches for working women belonging to the poor strata of society.
