Water level up in reservoirs

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The water level of major reservoirs in Kerala have increased.

According to the figures released by the Central Water Commission here on Thursday for the week ending August 6, at Idukki the water level increased from 2,370.04 ft., to 2,374.86 ft., in Idamalayar from 522.54 ft., to 524.70 ft., and at Kallada from 356.14 ft., to 264.57 ft, according to an official release.

When compared to the water level recorded during the same period last year, Kallada, Idukki and Idamalayar reservoirs showed an increase of 10.63 ft., 29.42 ft., and 20.43 ft., respectively, according to the Central Water Commission figures.
