CHANDIGARH: As a direct outcome of Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda’s visit to Korea last year, L.S. Cables Limited has decided to set up a power and telecommunication cables project at Growth Centre Bawal in Rewari district, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Managing Director Rajeev Arora said here on Thursday. The company, with its headquarters in Seoul, is part of the famous LG Group of Korea. The HSIIDC has agreed in principle to allot about 40 acres of land in the second phase of its industrial growth centre at Bawal. Keen interest
Mr. Arora said many Korean companies had evinced interest in Haryana after Mr. Hooda’s visit. Samsung has already started production in its mobile phones project at Industrial Model Town, Manesar. Another Korean company, Standard Diagnostics, is also in the process of setting up its project at Manesar. Recently, another Korean giant, Posco Group, had decided to set up a project for the manufacture of Steel Plates and Coils with an investment of more than Rs.110 crore at Bawal.
